Q: Do you have any positions available?

All positions currently available with the Islands Trust Fund may be obtained on this website. They can also be found on the Provincial Government Employment Website.

Note: The Islands Trust ONLY receives and retains resumes for posted or advertised vacancies.

Q: How do I apply for positions with the Islands Trust?

To apply for an advertised or posted vacancy with the Islands Trust Fund, you must submit a resume with a covering letter specifying the competition number for the particular position you wish to apply to. Applications may be submitted by:

Q: Do I have to apply separately for every vacancy advertised?

Yes, each position is considered separately. If you wish to apply for more than one position, you would submit separate resumes and covering letters, quoting the competition number for each vacancy.

Q: Do you have temporary or part time employment available?

Occasionally, the Islands Trust Fund may post and advertise vacancies for temporary or part time employment, these vacancies will be noted on this website.

We have some temporary positions that come available from time to time, for periods of short duration, e.g. vacation relief, sick relief.

Q: Will I be contacted, if I apply on a competition?

Only those applicants that are being actively considered for an interview will be contacted. If you have not heard from the Islands Trust Fund within one month, you are not being 'short-listed' for an interview.

Q: I'm not a Canadian Citizen ... Can I apply for work with the Islands Trust?

Applicants seeking employment within the Islands Trust Fund, must be legally eligible to work in Canada with the proper federal government permits and documentation. Also see eligibilty to apply section of our website.
