Protected Area Successes

The Islands Trust Fund's vision statement is to create a legacy of special places, protecting both natural and cultural features in perpetuity, in order to help sustain the unique character and environment of the Islands Trust Area.

Since 1990, we have protected more than 982 hectares (more than 2,426 acres) of land on 75 properties. Protected properties now exist on 12 of the 13 main islands within the Islands Trust Area.
